Apart from the Imperial Palace, I also visited the mansion of the famous Zhang Warlords who were regarded as national heroes by the Chinese ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Zuolin and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zhang_Xueliang) and the 9.18 History Museum, which was dedicated to the incident on 18 September 1931 which led to the Japanese invasion of Manchuria.
