It's Thaipusam again. This time, there was some debate about a government announcement that Thaipusam participants should not create too much noise and so on. In any case, I popped by downtown to have a look at the scene. Just marginally less noisy than previous years. It's a celebration and the participants, in my view, are entitled to celebrate in a way that is acceptable to the Hindu community. Perhaps a storm in a teacup.
