Pushkar: Camel Fair & Hindu Holy Men in Desert Town

Now in Pushkar for the world famous Camel Fair and sacred holy festival that worships Brahma, the greatest of the Hindu gods.  Today is day 1 of the festival and we attended the opening ceremony.  Then, together with hundreds of pilgrims (300,000 attended last year's holy season), we went to the Brahma temple to receive blessings.  See the red tika on my forehead, courtesy of the temple's priest.  No, we didn't bath in the holy waters, like the pilgrims do.

Yesterday, we had a glorious sunset with thousands of camels and horses.
