Still in Accra

Still in Accra. Ghana next few days, trying to get visas for Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea. Flying to Abidjan in Cote d'Ivoire (formerly known as Ivory Coast) on Wednesday with Emirates. Cote d'Ivoire will be my 150th country.
Weather and traffic here unbearable. That's why we have abandoned plans to do a day trip to Kumasi, the nation's second largest city. Would go there later in the journey. Sunday was slow. Went downtown – huge, sprawling city, or rather, a pathetic huge village with poor urban planning. The traffic here makes you think this could be a metropolis of 15 million although only 2 million live here. Also visited the National Museum and Independence Square. The city is very pedestrian unfriendly and walking around in baking oppressive heat was very hard work.
