Still in Abomay. Visited the palaces today. Lots of glory artifacts such as thrones mounted on real human skulls. Benin is home of voodoo and voodooism is an official religion here. The guidebook says Hollywood has sensationalised it and it is a normal religion like any others.
The hotel owner has asked us to witness a voodoo ceremony here tonight, together with some French tourists.
