Samoa on World Cup Sunday finals

Learnt the World Cup winner after I returned from the Mormon Church. Is World Cup the reason why I didn't see many Samoans at churches today? Everything is shut including most public transport. Cinemas open again at 4pm. Maybe I will watch Eclipse.
