Tan Wee Cheng: The Finance Professional:once Investment Banker (Private Equity / Leveraged Buyout), Regulator, CFO, now dabbling with academia. The Nomad: First caught the travelbug in 1993, he has since been getting into lots of trouble, including: Mugged in St Petersburg, Jerusalem & Romania; Scuffling with a gangster in Cyprus & ex-child soldiers in Liberia; Survived road accidents in Albania & riots in Burkina Faso. Always a fanatical nomad, occasional hedonist, sometime a pseudo-philosopher, New Age romantic and occasional capitalist. Freedom and secular humanism are governing principles of my life.
